Spa Guidelines:
My Message... What do I wear?
Wear whatever makes you feel comfortable.
It is best to remove all your clothing,
including your undergarments, to prevent
getting any oils on them. They will
keep you covered in appropriate areas
at all times during your message.
Mother-to-be Clients
We have special prenatal cushions. Let
the receptionist know when booking your
appointments so we can have your room
set up appropriately. Also, we only
perform messages on mothers at least
four moths along in their pregnancy
for the safety of the baby.
Can Pregnant or Nursing Women
Get body wraps?
We do not recommend body wraps
while you are pregnant or nursing. The
combination of aromatherapy oils and
heat is not recommended.
What do I do about my contacts?
Bring your contact case and your Saline
solution etc, if you would like to remove
your contacts.
Waxing:
Do not get waxing if you are
on retinol retin-A, or any chemicals
where you are removing cells or the
top layer of skin. This can cause irritation,
and even tell your technician before
waxing.
I forgot to book my facial
waxing when I booked my facial:
Tell your esthetician that
you would like to have waxing done in
conjunction with your facial. If she
has time she will be more than happy
to accommodate you. If not another esthetician
may have time or we can schedule it
at your earliest convenience. Please
do not hesitate to ask!
Am I expected to talk and
visit with my Message Therapist or Esthetician
during my treatment?
That is up to you. But the
most important part of your treatment
is to relax and enjoy a quiet atmosphere.
Don't worry if you fall asleep, they'll
wake you when it's over.
Should I tip? How much is appropriate?
At the front desk we have a
Gratuity Box with individual envelops
for you to use if you desire. Put the
technician's name and your name on the
envelops (and even a note if you like).
Most tips range from 15 - 20% of the
service provided. This is at your discrepancy.
Arrival Time:
Please arrive 15 minutes early
for your message and/or facial to change
and fill out a client profile information
sheet, so we can focus entirely on your
specific needs.
Please leave pets and children at home
and leave cell phones in locker, so
we do not disturb or interrupt your
spa service or any other clients.
Getting a Pedicure:
Please bring sandals or flip-flops.
We want to make sure your polish is
completely dry before you put on regular
shoes. If you don't have any or forget
them you are welcome to wear home our
disposable slippers we have at no extra
cost.
